Whew whew! Work has been so hectic that smoothies are my ultimate go-to brekkie every single day. It’s essential to change your recipes every now and then to give your tastebuds a jolt.
I’ve been hooked on avocados for all I can remember. I especially love the texture, relatively mild flavour and the nutrients it brings to my smoothies. However, after actively consuming avocado smoothies for a little more than half a year, my taste buds can’t seem to bear with it anymore. (sad face) I used to overdose on one whole avocado with coconut/honey up to 5 times a week, and slowly, I tried to lower my consumption to 4 times a week, to 2 times a week, and to only use half an avocado.
But I couldn’t let go of it.. If I were to date a fruit, it’ll definitely be a rugged-looking, tasteful and creamy male avocado.
To prevent boring my tastebuds even further, I decided to add some other elements to my otherwise plain avocado smoothies, so here goes- Mango Avocado Smoothie! 🙂

Ingredients:

Green Layer
1/2 avocado
1 heaped cup spinach
1 cup honey/coconut water
Yellow Layer
1 mango
1/2 banana
1 cup water
1/2 cup oats (optional)

I have tried to layer my smoothies for a few times but I think this recipe worked the best! Particularly due to the addition of oats in the bottom layer to make it heavier and creamier 🙂

Topped with granolas for some crunch and texture to my smoothie. You can also add goji berries, fruit seeds, cranberries or coconut chips too! Whichever floats your boat. 🙂

Note: Excuse my old watermark. These pictures have been sitting in my drafts for a pretty long time teehee.

Til then,
