Work has been hectic, so I’ll keep this short and sweet.
1/2 head romaine lettuce
1 apple (green or red, you decide)
Chia seeds (to top)
Apple: As the saying goes, “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.” Rich in phyto-nutrients, antioxidants and dietary fibre (prevents absorption of bad cholestrol in the gut). High in vitamin C (develop resistant against infectious agents) and vitamin B (co-factors for enzymes in metabolism and synthetic functions inside the body).
Kiwi: Unattractive on the outside, a treasure on the inside. Contains up to 1 and a half times more vitamin C than oranges (boost immune system, repair and regenerate cell tissues). High in vitamin E (prevent aging), potassium (regulates bodily fluids, acidity, electrolytes) and lutein (antioxidant to fight free radicals, prevent eye disease).
Romaine lettuce: Low calorie content, high in fibre, alkaline forming (remember I said high acidity in your body pH causes you to be sick?), low glycemic index (great for people watching their blood sugar level).
Refreshing, tangy green smoothie for you 🙂
