Yields 500ml.
When mixed together, it looks like this! |
Spinach: Packed with powerful nutrients and is an excellent source of folate, vitamin A, iron and vitamin K. High in minerals like magnesium, calcium and also fibre.
Romaine lettuce: Low calorie content, high in fibre, alkaline forming, low glycemic index (great for people watching their blood sugar level).
Banana: High in potassium, good source of fibre, potassium, manganese and energy (great for pre-workout).
Cucumber: Low in saturated fat, sodium and cholestrol. Good source of vitamin C, A, K and potassium.
The purpose of using banana is just to give the smoothie a hint of sweetness without overpowering the natural taste of the smoothie itself. If you want it to be an all-green smoothie, feel free to omit the banana and substitute with honey, stevia or agave nectar instead 🙂
